The foam is so much softer than the changing table itself, and my baby actually relaxes during changes now. I also love that the pad lifts off the base for quick cleanup when things get messy. The rubber feet keep it firmly in place on the dresser, which was my biggest worry.
The safety strap actually holds my wiggly son in place during changes, which is a huge relief. The pad detaches from the base so I can wipe it down and toss it in the bathroom when needed, and the rubber feet keep it from sliding on the dresser.
